Route maps are available so you can walk, run or bike on your own schedule and pace.

Or join one of the many group events planned each week.

Group walks

  • Walks begin at 5:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted for a special destination walk).
  • Length of walks range from one to four miles.
  • Walks will take place outdoors so please dress accordingly.
  • Every week is a different route, including special destination walks.
  • Expect to arrive back from the walk between 6 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Free monthly history walks led by local historian, Mark Stouffer Hunter.
  • Blue Zones Project® Moais are always welcome!

Running Groups
Coordinated by Corridor Running and We Run

  • Runners begin to gather at 5:45 p.m. and runs begin at 6 p.m.
  • All experience levels welcome!
  • New in 2016: two running groups offered each week.  Kris and Brian from We Run in North Liberty will lead a shorter, casual run for those interested in going 3-5 miles. Corridor Running  will lead a longer, faster-paced run for experienced runners interested in running 6-10 miles.
  • Expect to arrive back from the run between 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Group Bike Rides
Coordinated by Bike2Work Consultants

  • Bike riders will gather with other bikers near 3rd Street S.E.
  • Riders must provide their own helmet and bicycle in good working order.
  • Rides begin at 6 p.m.
  • Every week will feature a different route, including mini-family rides and longer destination rides for adults.
  • Seasonal variety of rides ranging from 5-30 miles. Check each week for current schedule.
  • Schedule notes will list length, terrain, and beginner, intermediate or advanced level.
  • Expect to arrive back from the ride between 7 – 8:30 p.m.

Outdoor Yoga
Coordinated by Lovar Davis Kidd, RYT & LMT at Hands in Harmony Massage Specialists & Spa

  • Participants should bring their own yoga mat.
  • Class meets 6-7 pm on the front lawn of NewBo City Market.
  • In case of inclement weather, yoga will move inside the Market.

Outdoor Dance Fitness
Coordinated by DanceClubCardio

  • Class meets 7-8pm at the outdoor stage at NewBo City Market immediately after yoga.
  • In case of inclement weather, dance will be moved inside the market.
  • Consult the event calendar for type of dance class and instructor each week.
  • No previous dance experience necessary, classes are open to all fitness and dance levels.
  • Bring water and a towel, you will be working up a sweat!
  • Dancing will take place on both cement and grass areas, please wear appropriate gym shoes.

  • Presented by Mercy Medical Center.
  • Table display located next to check-in tables.
  • Free health education and screenings led by health professionals.
  • Fun health-related activities for children once a month.
  • Join staff from Hall-Perrine Cancer Center on group walks on 3rd week of each month.

Chef at the Market

  • Meets once a month at 6:30 p.m. under the green awning.
  • See calendar for scheduled dates and monthly themes.
  • Monthly cooking demonstrations featuring local chefs.
  • Free samples and healthy recipe ideas to try at home.
